HR Specialist

The HR Specialist reports to the HR Operations Lead. The incumbent will provide administrative support to the HR department and is a key point of contact to employees with questions regarding HR activities, policies, processes and procedures.


  • Applies defined procedures and policies to complete a variety of routine tasks.
  • Advising on HR policies & procedures. Recommending changes in an effort to continuously improve quality efficiency, and effectiveness.
  • Perform various administrative and clerical functions including filing, postings, scanning, copying, record maintenance, data entry etc.
  • Administration of transactional HR functions such as status changes, new hires, terminations and miscellaneous associate information.
  • Compiling data. Preparing and/or developing reports, mailings, documents, spreadsheets, and presentations.
  • Periodically reviewing documents, websites, procedures, etc. and making approved revisions.
  • Drafting agreements, letters, and other correspondence.
  • Assisting the request of broadcast centers
  • Conducting employee orientation and facilitating newcomers joining formalities.
  • Creating and maintaining accurate personnel files (hard-copies and electronic). Storing and disposing of confidential documents properly.
  • Liaising with all government agencies to ensure adherence    to compliance
  • Maintains knowledge of legal requirements and government reporting regulations.
  • Facilitating application for work permit and residence permit for the expats
  • Facilitating application for Press Cards
  • Keeping official correspondence with The Immigration Department and embassies/consulates
  • Guide expats to obtain certificate of residence from The Provincial Directorate of Population
  • Keeping correspondence with contracted banks
  • Processing tax forms and insurance policies
  • Providing positive customer service support regarding HR questions.
  • Responding to all HR-related e-mails to the general mailbox.
  • Identify issues and with assistance execute corrective action.
  • Escalating issues to the team lead as appropriate. Voicing concerns. Participating in problem-solving meetings. Being as proactive as possible.
  • Using independent judgment to plan, prioritize and organize workload.
  • Assisting with other duties as needed.


  • Bachelor's degree in applicable area and minimum of three years HR related experience and/or equivalent combination of education and experience/training, with Master’s degree as an added advantage
  • Excellent written and spoken English and Turkish
  • Demonstrates knowledge of Human Resources policies and procedures; advanced knowledge of functional area and understands how work impacts other areas in Human Resources 
  • Must have a thorough understanding and practical knowledge of all aspects of HR
  • Knowledge of the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and other related business software programs and systems
  • Possesses advanced analytical and presentational skills to conduct analysis and develop recommendations, demonstrating organization and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to maintain confidential/sensitive information.
  • Must be able to prioritize and organize various tasks and meet multiple deadlines.
  • Strong computer skills (MS office suite)
  • Excellent communication skills (interpersonal, written, oral)
  • Must be detailed-oriented, flexible, creative, discrete, professional, diligent
  • Must have good time management skills, work well under pressure, and the ability to multi-task
  • Must possess the ability to exercise good judgment, work independently and follow instructions
  • Must be able to establish rapport with individuals
