Digital Content Coordinator

The Digital Content Coordinator assists the Manager of Digital Content as well as Executive Producers across the digital team, with the management of their tasks.

The candidate will also be responsible for managing administration related tasks for 80 online staff such as shift schedules, leave requests, deployments and keeping track of contributor payments. The senior coordinator would be expected to both plan and execute the staff shift schedule rotation under the supervision of Senior Executive Producers.

This is not a journalistic post, but requires someone who has had experience in understanding how newsroom operate.

Primary Tasks

  • Assist managers of the channel in the administration elements of the their job, including budgeting.
  • Assist with the development; adjustment and and enforcement of staff scheduling.
  • Assist and follow up with staff members with regard to all of their administration issues.
  • When needed, they should be the filter between staff and the administrative component of the company.
  • Keep a track record of all contributor payments due to freelance contributors across the site, on behalf of the digital team and where applicable liaise with the finance department in this regard.

Essential Skills

  • A passion and commitment to TRT World.
  • Sound communication abilities.
  • Experience as an organiser, personal assistant or administrator.
  • Sound writing abilities.
  • Experience in working with staff shift schedules and financial spreadsheets.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years experience as an organiser, personal assistant or administrator.
  • A proven track record of success.
